Six people stood next to a sign saying 'Welcome to Croxteth Park Farm'. They're smiling with their arms around each other. It's a bright and sunny day.

A few weeks ago, employees from Verdant Energy and Keco Energy attended Croxteth Park Farm in Liverpool to support with the farm’s maintenance as part of their commitment to supporting local communities and community spaces.

Croxteth Park Farm is a traditional working Victorian Farm set within the grounds of Croxteth Hall and Country Park, Liverpool. It is operated by Alt Valley Community Trust (AVCT), an organisation that makes a significant contribution to the local area by transforming sports centres, libraries, colleges, and community hubs. Its mission is to create positive change and promote sustainable communities, where everyone is able to achieve their full potential. Its activities improve access to education and training, support people entering employment and provide community engagement and sport-based provision to improve the quality of life for local residents.

The team supported by jet washing animal pens, removing old plaster and repainting. In exchange, they were able to meet all of the animals.

Kieran Talbot, Director at Verdant Energy, said:

“It was great to take some time away from our desks and do some hands-on work that we know will really help with the maintenance of the farm. Community spaces and the environment are two of our key values at Verdant Energy, so being able to create impact in these two areas simultaneously has been really rewarding. Not to mention, it’s been a great way to bond as a team and bring together employees from different functions within the business.”
